Competition terms & conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is the Consumer Council for Water (CCW) (“the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility
This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
Employees of the Promoter, its agents, contractors, or anyone professionally connected with this competition, and members of their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
Entry is limited to one entry per person unless otherwise stated.

3. Competition period
The competition opens on 5th March 2026, 8am and closes on 5th April 2026, 5pm (the “Closing Date”).
Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

4. How to enter
To enter, participants must make a water-saving pledge via the competition entry form.
The water-saving pledge is a statement of personal intention only and is not legally binding or enforceable.
All valid pledges submitted during the Competition Period will be entered into a database from which one winner will be selected at random.
No purchase is necessary.
Internet access is required.

5. The prize
One winner will receive a prize bundle consisting of:

6. Prize conditions
The prize will be delivered to one UK delivery address only. The Promoter is unable to deliver prizes outside of the UK.
There is no cash alternative, and the prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with an item of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
Product colours, styles, or finishes may vary from those shown in any promotional imagery.
The Promoter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any of the brands included in the prize bundle.

7. Warranty and liability for prizes
Any manufacturer warranties that apply to individual prize items are the responsibility of the relevant manufacturer or retailer.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for:
Faults, defects, or damage to prize items once they have been delivered.
The use, misuse, or enjoyment of the prize.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law.

8. Winner selection and notification
The winner will be selected at random from all valid pledge entries received during the Competition Period.
The winner will be notified by email by CCW within 7 days of the Closing Date.
If the winner does not respond within 28 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9. Delivery
The prize will be dispatched within 14 days of winner confirmation.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for delays or failures in delivery caused by events outside its reasonable control.

10. Publicity
By entering, the winner agrees to take part in reasonable publicity relating to the competition, should this be requested, without further compensation.

11. Data protection

Personal data provided when making a water-saving pledge will be used for the purposes of administering this competition, selecting and contacting the winner, and managing prize delivery.
By entering, participants agree that their details will be added to CCW’s newsletter mailing list and may receive water-saving tips, advice, and related communications.
Participants can unsubscribe from these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in emails.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

12. General
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition and these Terms & Conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
